60007 Sir Nigel Gresley with The Chester Christmas Market
13th December 2024
(Peterborough - Leicester - Nuneaton - Stafford - Crewe - Chester).
The tour started at Colchester diesel hauled with 60007 taking the lead from Peterborough.
During the Chester break the whole train was dragged back to Crewe where 60007 was removed as planned.
The whole ensemble then returned back to Chester for the return leg to Colchester with 57311 leading and 47583 behind.
The train is seen at Wardle on the outward leg and there again for the empty stock move back to Crewe in fading light.
